When Is Entry Cheapest and How Can You Get Free Entry?
In November 2026, Off-Peak tickets are available from Monday to Thursday. December and January are mainly priced at Standard or Peak rates, with the exact price depending on the date and time slot.
Whatever the time slot, spending £25 on eligible items in the same online booking unlocks one free entry ticket.
It makes more sense to choose the paid activities and time slots you genuinely want first, then arrange your entry time around them, rather than spending extra simply to avoid the entry fee.

How Long to Spend at Winter Wonderland? Our Four-Hour Visit
Our last visit to Winter Wonderland was on Christmas Eve 2025. There were two of us, with no children.
Christmas Eve was a Peak time slot, so two adult entry tickets cost £17 in total. To unlock two free entry tickets, the eligible spend threshold was £50. One or two activities plus a small amount of game credit was already enough to reach it easily.
We both enjoy live shows, so the circus was an easy choice. We also wanted to do something that felt suitably wintry, so we picked the Real Ice Slide. We skipped the bigger rides this time and saved Magical Ice Kingdom for another visit.
For two adults, two main activities plus food, drinks and carnival games felt about right. If you also want to add the ice sculptures, ice skating or more rides, you will need to arrive earlier.

Real Ice Slide Review
The Real Ice Slide involves sitting in an inflatable tube and sliding down an ice track. Each person gets two runs, with each ride lasting only a few dozen seconds. From the top, you can see the lights and rides around the park, and it has a good atmosphere after dark.

I do not regret choosing it, but the waiting time was too long. Having tried it once, I would choose a different activity next time.
Our booking was for 18:00, but we arrived and joined the queue at 17:20. We did not finish until around 18:30, so once the actual sliding time is taken out, we spent almost an hour queuing.

Luckily, arriving early meant we still had time to collect a free hot chocolate before reaching the circus queue at 19:00. If we had waited until our booked time of 18:00 before joining the queue, the rest of the evening would have been very tight.
A booked time therefore should not be treated as the time you will actually start the activity. If you book activities back to back, make sure you allow for queueing time as well.

Circus Review
In 2025, we went to Cirque Berserk: Ignite, which featured fire acts, contortion and high-energy acrobatics. The show moved at a great pace with hardly any dull moments. It was exciting without feeling too intense. I would not book the exact same production again, but I would happily consider another circus show if the acts and overall production were different.

The show started at 19:30 and we joined the queue outside at around 19:00. By the time we entered, we could no longer get seats in the very front section, although our seats were still good. If you want a better position, I would aim to queue around half an hour before the show.

For 2026, standard seating for Gandeys K-Pop Dragon Circus is still first come, first served. Only Ringside tickets reserve seats at the front, and the official recommendation is to arrive at least 20 minutes before the show.

Winter Wonderland with Children
The activities that work best for children vary from year to year. The main things to consider are age, sensitivity to lights and sound, and how much queueing is involved.
Gandeys K-Pop Dragon Circus
The new show for 2026 is Gandeys K-Pop Dragon Circus, combining K-pop music, dance, dragon-themed storytelling and circus acts.

Children are allowed at all performances, but the show includes flashing lights, louder sound and darker lighting. If a child is particularly sensitive to those things, it is worth considering before booking.
Magical Ice Kingdom
Magical Ice Kingdom was one of the activities we were interested in during our 2025 visit but did not end up doing.
The 2026 theme is Neverland, with ice sculptures inspired by the world of Peter Pan.
If we return with children in future, this is one of the activities I would consider adding.

Carnival Games and Food
We waited until after the circus to use our pre-purchased tokens on one of the prize stalls.
That worked well because all of our timed activities were finished, so we could wander around without worrying about getting to another booking.
We paid separately for food and drinks on the day. We did not buy a meal package in advance because we preferred to decide what we wanted once we were there.

How to Get to Winter Wonderland
Winter Wonderland is held in Hyde Park and has several entrances. The easiest approach is to check where your first activity is located, then choose the most convenient Underground station.

|---|---|---|
|
Santa Land, Thrillville |
Red Gate |
Bond Street、Marble Arch |
|
Ice Rink, Show Town / circus area |
Blue Gate/Green Gate |

If you are bringing a pushchair or need step-free access, Green Park and Bond Street are more convenient. Hyde Park Corner, Knightsbridge and Marble Arch are closer to some entrances, but they can become very busy at peak times.
